Re: Environment Feel better using refills instead of buying entire new pen.these are great refills that we all know and love.I think they last just as long as the original pen ink. I like that this saves plastic and money. Would be cool if refills were recyclable. The pens and the ink cartridges make up what I consider to be one of the best pens around. I love the handling of it and the writing is always there and flawless.PerfectThese are my favorite pens for writing and doing crossword and other "pencil" puzzles. The tip is a nice fine point, it doesn't bleed through and fries faster than any other I've used. The refill lasts longer than any other and doesn't run out until the ink is gone completely. I've used some pens that stop working when there's half an inch of ink left in the tube. I have arthritis in my hands and these pens take very little pressure to produce a constant even flow. The reliability and quality of these refills are disappointing and each order I have received has been more so than the previous. Like other reviewers, I have had to throw out some refills soon after using because the nib gets damaged or the ink stops flowing thus feels like the nib/pen point is damaged or dragging across a chalk board. I have had to toss refills with 1/2 ink still in cartridge. What's the point of making and promoting a pen/pen case as refillable, environmentally-more friendly if 1)make nearly impossible to purchase refills 2) purchasing refills is similar in price to new pen 3) refills are packaged with unnecessary plastic and paper backing within more packaging 4) refills are useless so total waste to buy thus end up adding more waste, more cost for both planet and myself/other pen users????I bought this back in 2016 and here I am at 2020, down to my last ink, and I did not have a good experience with those inks. You might be thinking 12 ink, about $12 and last you 4 years! No no no, I just don't write as much as others. I don't think they are authentic from the pen maker Pilot because the quality are bad. out of the 12 ink, most of them I had to trash away because of quality issue before it is fully empty. The original ink that came with the pen never had those issues. Some, the ink just stop coming out and some, the ballpoint fell out, there was even one that a needle just stick out from the ballpoint and I was surprise how that even happened, and some the ink start to leak when you write. But for the price that it selling at, I guess we cant really complain much. You get what you paid haha, that's why I am willing to give it a 3 star.
