This is marked as a (Asian writing) 601. I think that means it is a Jinhoa 601, but what I odered was a Jinhao "51A."Which is fine! I was expecting to get a pen that looked and functioned like the original Parker "51" piston-fill, and that's what this *is.*I have one of the original pens, and the only difference is the name on the cap (with "Made in China") and the visible windows for the inkwell, which is an improvement anyway. This is closer to the original Parker "51" piston-fill than the "real" Parker "51" Parker itself put out last year, as that "reproduction" uses proprietary Parker cartridges, and tis uses bottled ink.It has a nice Parker arrow-clip, and may well have been made on the original Parker equipment from the factory they once had in China, although Jinhoa does not advertise this. The light blue color is nice, and looks very close to originals I have seen of this color.Perker abandoned the piston-fill mechanism for a side-fill bladder later on. (I do not know why.)If you like the nostalgia factor, I encourage getting one of these. If you want a nice pen to write with, same thing.I'd recommend this quite easily. The only flaw I can find is that it does not always begin writing immediately when you start to use it. It does *much* better that my much more expensive Esterbrook Jr., which I paid $130.00 US for, so draw your own conclusion. My pen just arrived, so I had to test it right away. It looks beautiful, just like the picture, and it feels comfortable in the hand. The best part, however, is the smooth writing. It took me by surprise, because it writes just as smooth as the Parker 51 ( new version), smoother than the Wing Sung 601 and the Hero pens that I have. It has become my favorite pen at this moment.I can't understand how is reliable to get so cheap pen like this in comparison to original Parker. Only difference is a cartridge and heritage I think. Wonderful color. The nib size is european fine.I did not expect much from this inexpensive pen but when it came I was actually very much surprised how nice it is! Not only it looks same or better than on sellers images, but the quality of fit and finish is just spotless. The nib is *PERFECT* out of the box, super smooth (true extra fine/fine depending on the ink) the feed delivers from the first touch to the paper it just keeps writing. You may want to use "wetter" ink for best performance of this fine nib and avoid "thicker" pigmented inks. Also, the nib is really precise but you must keep the right angle and not rotate the pen to either side too much. Just a practical tip. But if you do you part, the pen is very nice to use, one of my favourite regardless of cost. And the JinHao converter (or standart international cartridge) is much appreciated improvement from the older "aerometric" found in some other Chinese pens inspired by the classic Parker 51. It is a delicate pen for delicate writing. I love this pen! :) My only gripe with this pen is that due the hooded nib it would help to have some "aiming aid" (usually embedded metal arrow shaped strip) in the section above nib so I could instantly know whether I am holding the pen correctly. No me ha gustado esta en concreto
